DonationCoder.com's NANY (New Apps for the New Year) Challenge is under way.

Anybody interested in participating?

All you have to do is sign up on the forum and respond to that thread and say you will do it.

Then get busy coding something new to release on Jan 1, 2007.

It doesn't have to be something big. It can be something small.

It can be fun or useful...your choice.

And you even get to decide what language you want to use.

It's not a contest...there are no losers.

You don't have to be some expert programmer with a gazillion years experience. You can be a beginner with a great idea.

Just do it and everyone wins. (prize = fun)

It's going to be a big fun software release party and you can be a part of the fun, too.

Just say 'YES' like these TSC members did:

TSC[01]; app
TSC[07]; hollow
TSC[29]; Demented Muppet

So make the NANY pledge today and get to work!

Let's get a jumpstart on declaring 2007 our most productive year ever, beginning with the programs we will release on the very first day.

UPDATE 01/01/2007: The challenge is over. The programs have been released. Over 20 new applications were submitted. You can see them all here: http://nany.donationcoder.com

There is some really useful stuff, and some crazy stuff, too.

Congratulations to all the participants for making the deadline. Thanks for all the hard work you have done. May 2007 be our most productive year ever, with plenty more new apps released.
